Delightful venue, charming staff, excellent food. Highly recommend a visit. The new garden room is stunning. Close to some lovely rambles on Parbold Hill, it offers high-quality modern cooking using locally sourced seasonal produce.
On the restaurant menu crispy duck egg, home-cured spiced bacon, celeriac and dashi is fairly typical. The Eagle and Child offers up a tempting food menu The bar menu is equally appealing; perhaps steak, ale and mushroom pie, mushy peas and triple-cooked chips. The traditionally styled pub is a popular village local, with an ever-changing array of beers from local microbreweries and farmhouse ciders, while the annual Early May Bank Holiday beer festival attracts up to 2, people to a huge marquee.
