My ancestors were not Mexican. Link are Jews from Iberia who were proud of their distinct Sephardic Ladino speaking identity. But I was born in Texas. I have a strong Texan identity. A Hispanic American identity if you will. Other people such as Mexicans or whoever opposes our distinct identity here just need to get a grip and let go of outdated stereotypes.
