It made a difference that Riley Zuhn started getting kills on the right side. She started slow but got better and better as the match went on. Her blocking in sets four and five made an impact. Stivrins was great on the court; she had 17 kills, hit.
Stivrins is the person that makes others better on the court both through her play and her leadership role. Coach called this halftime in the weekend. He is going to look at stats and get ready for tomorrow night.

There must be a match up reason for the change in starting rotation.

Saturday, the Buckeyes returned the favor and the Huskers lost, Senior Middle Lauren Stivrins scored the first two points for the Huskers with kills of Buckeye over passes, but the first set stayed tight until OSU opened a lead, forcing the first Nebraska timeout. Ohio State was hitting. However, Nebraska scored the next three to fight right back into the set.
Despite great effort by the Huskers, the Buckeyes pushed the lead to to force the second Husker timeout late in the set, but it did little good as the Huskers dropped the first set Nebraska dominated the early part of the second, scoring four in a row after the set was tied at one. After a IL timeout, Stivrins makes a tip kill for the set win, NE won 6 of 7 points to win husker volleyball score 3/13/21 set.
Set 2 - Big block by Stivrins and Zuhn, Densberger had a third service error, Hames and Sun collide to try to pick up a tip. Hames stays down for a while. She gets up and stays in after talking with the trainer. Caffey fed for a kill by Hames from the 10 ft. IL timeout, A Zuhn hitting error, Big kill by IL Cooney, Stivrins blocked on a 31 set, 21 all. Stivrins comes back with a tip kill, After a NE timeout, Stivrins runs on a slide for a kill off the block, 23 all.
