It really works! Susan May 5, on pm Reply Another tip: After clearing your cache,make sure that you delete any old bookmark or desktop icon that you used to use to access Facebook and make a new one. Otherwise, you may not see the fix.
Basically, when you open the Facebook app, it shows you the icon that you have a new message in the Messenger app.
